Find where the hair actually gathers
Fur often collects along a particular sofa, beneath the dining table, or near a pet bed. Watch those places for a few days before comparing machines. A robot only helps when it can repeatedly reach the accumulation points without moving half the room.
Check under the pet’s favorite furniture and around bowl stands. A powerful robot cannot collect hair from a sofa cushion or a stair tread. Keep an appropriate manual tool in the plan and decide which floor task you expect automation to remove.
Inspect the brush maintenance process
Anti-tangle design is worth investigating, but it is not a promise that hair never needs removal. Look up how the brush comes out, whether the end caps are accessible, and what tools the manual permits. Small practical differences become noticeable when maintenance is frequent.
Roborock’s Qrevo Curv page describes its hair-handling brush design. Use that as a feature to examine against other exact models, not a substitute for independent cleaning evidence. Local replacement availability and a brush you can service comfortably also belong in the comparison.
Match bin handling to the household
A self-emptying dock may reduce how often you open the robot’s bin. It adds its own bag or collection-container routine and can introduce a short loud cycle. Check how full-bin behavior is handled and what the manufacturer recommends for homes with heavier debris.
Do not treat a maximum advertised interval between bag changes as a household schedule. Pet numbers, shedding, reachable floor area, and cleaning frequency vary. Inspect and maintain the system according to its instructions and actual use.
Prepare for more than hair
Move loose toys, cords, and unsuitable items before a run. Check for pet accidents rather than relying on obstacle recognition to avoid them. A machine crossing a mess can create a larger cleaning problem, regardless of how advanced its marketing sounds.
Give food and water areas an appropriate layout or supported exclusion. Observe how the pet responds to the machine and dock during the first supervised cycles. Schedule cleaning at a time that works for the animal and household, rather than assuming the middle of every activity is convenient.
Make rugs part of the decision
Fur on a rug and loose debris on hard flooring are different cleaning situations. Confirm rug compatibility, brush settings, pile limits, and mopping restrictions. Where a textile needs special care, preserve a manual method instead of trying to automate every inch.
Prioritize useful access and repeatable maintenance over a pet-themed model name. A simpler robot reaching the right areas regularly may fit the routine better than a premium device with an awkward station. Compare both the machine and the space it asks you to give up.
The considered choice
Choose a robot you can maintain easily and a routine that keeps the floor ready. Pet hair is a repeated task; pet accidents still require a human check.

Can I leave it to avoid pet waste automatically?
Do not rely on that. Inspect the floor before automated runs and follow the manufacturer’s precautions.
Is a larger dock always better for a pet home?
No. It may help with debris handling, but clearance, noise, supplies, and maintenance still matter.
