Technology that earns its place.
The best home technology fades into the routine it improves.

WanjiLab is an independent English-language journal for North American households choosing technology for real rooms: a robot vacuum navigating a family room, an air purifier beside a bed, a countertop appliance used before work, or a smart light that makes the evening easier.
We start with the ordinary problem, then look at fit, setup, maintenance, privacy, and the cost of ownership. A device should earn its counter space, dock footprint, and place in the household routine.
How our buying guides work
We read manufacturer documentation, support pages, and relevant consumer guidance. We identify published specifications and separate them from editorial inference. We do not invent hands-on testing, personal ownership, numerical ratings, or current bestseller claims.
Our home photographs illustrate a setting; they do not imply that WanjiLab owns or tested the product shown. Product availability, prices, firmware, and retailer terms can change, so check the linked listing before buying.
Affiliate links and independence
Some retailer links may support WanjiLab with a commission at no extra cost when a commercial relationship is active. That does not change which products we cover or how we describe tradeoffs. Read our affiliate disclosure and editorial standards for more detail.
Start with a real room
- Choose a robot vacuum around your floor plan.
- Size an air purifier for the room it will serve.
- Ask privacy questions before connecting a device.
