01 · Name the job the device should do
What repeats on an ordinary day: floor cleaning, cooking, air treatment, or switching lights? Describe the task and how often it happens.
What feels inconvenient now? Choose one problem to solve first.
02 · Measure before you buy
- Room width, length, and ceiling height.
- Rug edges, thresholds, stairs, and the cleaning route.
- Windows, radiators, outlets, vents, and fixed obstacles.
- Dock or appliance footprint, including open lids, doors, tanks, and maintenance clearance.
- Wi-Fi coverage and the controls other household members need.
03 · Check compatibility and upkeep
Check flooring or fabric care, regional model, voltage, controller requirements, and manual controls. List filters, bags, rollers, cleaning solution, and any subscription.
04 · Make a considered shopping list
For each potential purchase, write its job, maximum dimensions, must-have features, and the maintenance you can realistically manage.
